Serene and unspoiled beauty, and an excellent hike. Trail potty was a bit dicey.
What a horrible and bigoted concept to have a private park. It should be called some besides a park. So thankful I don’t live in such narrow minded community.
This is a private park and requires a town permit for Bloomfield and Victor residents. Dogs are allowed off leash if they behave well and quickly respond to owner's call. Expect to see several dogs. Carry in/carry out. 2 trails around the 2 ponds/reservoirs, pavilion, paddling and fishing (with permit) allowed, outhouses. A beautiful piece of nature! There is also a connection to the Victor trails.
We arrived at Boughton Park not knowing you could enter by permit only, we thought it was for parking only. We were approached by some woman, in the rudest way, telling us to get out. We were happy to leave, as we didn't know this was a rule, but she didn't have to be such a nasty human about it. The world is filled with rude, ignorant people, clearly this park attracts them all. Thanks for ruining my morning, woman with no authority at all asking me to leave. This park should issue permits to people that actually care about fellow humans just looking for a place to fish on a Sunday morning.
Beautiful place for a walk, go fishing, canoeing, have a picnic, or just chill with family and friends!! Bring your dogs too!!
