Pretty standard best buy. Well maintained store, nice staff and fair prices for a brick and mortar store.
What makes this Best Buy so great is the amazing people that work there. The store is clean and well-stocked. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable. Shopping there is a fun and informative experience. They always have the latest tech and newest releases. Their Geek Squad is top notch as well. Highly recommend this store- the Victor location in particular. Be sure to check out the latest smart home innovations while you're there!
Unfortunately I was in the market for a high end laptop when I realized the Best Buy return policy is only 15 days. I called to confirm this since it seems insanely short. If I buy direct from the manufacturer online it's 90 days (30 days for refurbished laptop.) This return policy has directly resulted in my buying elsewhere. I can't afford to risk money or my time.
I recently purchased a laptop for my daughter at a Best Buy store in Dewitt the day before she left for college 2 hours away. Within 1 week, there was a problem with the laptop. Best Buy has a 15 day exchange/return policy. My daughter is a freshman with no transportation. The earliest time I could get a day off from work to drive the 6 1/2 hours to get the laptop, exchange it at the nearest Best Buy, and get it back to her was on the 18th day from purchase. After 2 frustrating hours speaking with a "customer service" person from a store, then a "customer service" person from corporate, who both did nothing for almost 2 hours except repeat the 15 day policy over and over and over, corporate called the Manager of the Victor NY store. I spoke with Dillon, the Manager, who authorized me to bring in the laptop on the 18th day for him to examine, and if things were in order, he would make the exchange for me. When we got to the store, I was immediately impressed with Dillon's service. He was more than pleasant and accommodating, as were both the clerk and the "geek guy" from the back room who set up the new laptop for my daughter. I can't say enough about the wonderful experience and service we received- Dillon is to be commended not only for his professionalism and service level, but also for being such a great leader to the rest of the store employees. It's easy to see that Dillon's positive and helpful attitude has permeated all those who work with him. Thank You!!
For some reason the staff assumes it is better to give a BS answer rather than saying "I don't know." Or even better is when they assume that they have a better solution than the one you came up with. Most often when they do not stock what you need. If you can get beyond that, it's a great store with a lot of options.
I like the store and the people seem fairly knowledgeable when you find them. The help and stock in Victor can be hit or miss compared to Henrietta but it's decent.
