Used to enjoy going here now it has an atmosphere and food quality similar to Denny's. Everything in the restaurant was sticky and gross and the floors looked liked they hadn't been properly cleaned in months, would not want to see their kitchen if this is the what's presented for their guests to see.
The food is hit or miss. Some visits, it's excellent, some visits its garbage. Last visit, my wife ordered a fish fry which was way overcooked resulting in the fish itself being dry and the panko breading was well on it's way to charcoal. I ordered chicken strips which were very greasy. The cheeseburger my son ordered well-done, was at least done to his satisfactions. Of the sides, the french fries were excellent, although their portion size was quiet small even though it appears fairly large in their metal serving box. The corn on the cob was excellent if just a but salty. However the cole slaw with the fish fry was bitter, not vinegar bitter, but almost like it was starting to spoil.
The waitress for the last visit was was excellent and very attentive but on the first visit we waited a good 20 minutes for our check until the manager stopped at our table to ask how everything was..
I like Chili's but yesterdays visit was a little off. I had a burger/fries but the bun and tray were covered with grease. It tasted great but was beyond messy. The service was great also. I am not put off from Chili's but a little more attention to presentation please
Good food, good service. I didn't give it the 5th star because they need to crank the heat up a bit! Blustery day and it felt like the wind was blowing inside too!
Their chicken fingers, called crispers, are the best I've had. Their steak isn't bad. Chili's, in my opinion, is basically a Mexican Applebee's.
